Our Philosophy: At Trizane Dog Services, we believe training should feel good for both ends of the leash. Positive reinforcement (R+) means rewarding the behaviours you want to see more of and giving your dog safe, thoughtful guidance. When behaviours are reinforced, they flourish — and when needs are met, unwanted behaviours fade away. Training is more than techniques; it’s a way of living with your dog as a partner and family member.
Our promise: We will never use pain, fear, or force with your pets. Every method we use is rooted in science and designed to protect your dog’s personality and spirit. By setting dogs up for success through games, enrichment, and real-life practice, we make learning enjoyable and sustainable.
Our Approach: Dogs learn best when they are active, willing participants. Our training creates space for choice, confidence, and curiosity, so your dog feels empowered. We treat every animal as an individual and design programs that support their unique needs.
Clicker Training: Clicker training is one of our favourite tools — a simple, proven way to help dogs learn faster and with less stress. Acting as a clear communication bridge, the click tells your dog exactly when they’ve gotten it right, making learning both fun and rewarding. It strengthens your bond, builds trust, and keeps training positive for everyone.

Training Plans
At Trizane Dog Services, training is built around both ends of the leash — your dog’s needs and your lifestyle. Every program is tailored to you and your dog, with flexible curriculums that adapt to your goals. The aim isn’t just to teach cues, but to help you understand your dog’s body language, communication, and how to meet their emotional, physical, and mental needs.
Our philosophy is rooted in positive reinforcement and giving animals choice, creating an environment where they feel safe, empowered, and eager to learn. From starter kits and workbooks to session notes and one-on-one support, we provide the tools and guidance to help you succeed beyond each session.
By practicing what we learn together in daily life, you’ll strengthen trust, improve communication, and build a lasting relationship with your dog — one grounded in harmony and understanding.
What you’ll learn: PREVENTION, how to raise your puppy to reduce behavioural issues in the future, effective communication skills, basic behaviours, good potty training habits, importance of socialization, independence training to combat separation anxiety, basic walking skills, relaxation techniques, navigating puppy biting and teething and self control.

What you’ll learn: PRACTICE! This program complements our KinderPuppy program as we advance on the knowledge learnt. You can expect to gain better understanding of how to manage your dog’s behaviour around distractions, work with distances and build on duration. This program is designed to help encourage and promote continuous training and relationship building as often times once classes are finished, behaviours are not maintained (for both human and dogs!). This program will help to further your human-dog bond with intermediate behaviours being introduced. Examples of what we’ll work on together: loose leash walking with distractions, recall and attention games, how to greet politely, how to manage behaviours when people come over, introduction of behaviour chains, engagement games and trick training.

FAQs
Trizane Dog Services utilizes marker-based positive reinforcements popularly called “clicker training.” A clicker is a tool used to mark the moment an animal has performed the desired behaviour and is then rewarded for their efforts.
Reanna has completed animal training studies at Dalhousie University and obtained her training certification from Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behaviour a leader in the field of animal training and in the science and application of marker-based positive reinforcement. She also regularly participates in continuous education.
You do not need to use the clicker forever, only when training and the animal is learning new behaviour.
A clicker is a small device that makes a clicking sound. It’s the tool of choice because of ease of use and distinct sound.
The clicker acts as a bridge during training. The click is used to mark the exact moment the desired behaviour is performed and to let the animal know a reward is coming. Behaviours that are rewarded will continue and those that are ignored will extinguish and disappear. A history of reinforcement trumps aversive and negative reinforcement and this is what makes those cues reliable.
Of course! In fact clicker training did not begin with dogs, it started with marine mammals to train behaviours and is now being used by trainers in zoos, research facilities, sanctuaries, all sorts of places.
We provide dog training in Peel Region (Brampton and Mississauga) as well as Etobicoke.
